Information We Collect

We collect information that you provide directly to us, including:

Account Information: When you create an account, we collect your authentication credentials (via Apple or Google sign-in).
Birth Information: Date, time (optional), and place of birth for generating Western astrology and Oriental astrology (Saju) insights.
Gender: Used for light personalization of content.
Partner Information: If you use compatibility features, birth details of saved partners.

How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

Provide personalized Western and Oriental astrology insights
Generate compatibility analyses for saved partners
Send daily push notifications (if enabled)
Process subscription payments through RevenueCat
Improve our services and user experience
Respond to your inquiries and support requests

Analytics

We use PostHog for analytics to understand how users interact with our app. We do not collect personally identifiable information (PII) through analytics. We do not track:

Email addresses or names
Exact birth details
Precise location or IP addresses

You can opt out of analytics tracking at any time using the opt-out link in our app or website footer.

Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored securely using Supabase with row-level security (RLS) policies. We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction.

Account Deletion

You can request account deletion from the Profile screen in the Sunbi app. When you request deletion:

Your account enters a 30-day grace period during which you can cancel the deletion by signing back in.
After 30 days, your account and all associated data (profile, birth information, partners, compatibility results, daily insights, yearly fortunes, and push notification settings) are permanently and irreversibly deleted.
Before permanent deletion, we extract anonymized, non-identifiable aggregate usage statistics (such as content type counts and theme score distributions) for product improvement purposes. These statistics contain no user IDs, emails, birth data, or any personally identifiable information.
If you have an active subscription at the time of scheduled deletion, the deletion timeline may be extended to avoid data loss for paying users. You must cancel your store subscription separately through your device's app store settings.

Children's Privacy

Sunbi is not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have collected information from a child under 13, please contact us immediately.
